10 Steps to fight with Melasma

About melasma -
Melasma, or brown spots, is a common skin condition in which the skin pigment melanin is unevenly distributed in the skin. Melasma can affect anyone, although women with brownish-skin complexions are at higher risk.

Melasma can be cured with the home made medicine and some measures which keeps skin brighter and illuminating..

Causes : - Exposure to Sunlight.
lack of melanin or vitamin-D in skin
Excessive usage of Birth Control pills.
Hormone Replacement therapy.
and some Genetic by genes from the ancestors.

Step 1

Gently massage the affected areas with aloe vera gel. Aloe vera contains a potent substance called mucilaginous polysaccharide (MPS), which softens and lightens brown spots and other discolorations. Apply the aloe vera gel to the affected areas and massage in circular motions for 15 minutes and leave on overnight. Aloe vera gel can be purchased at any health-food store near you.

Step 2

Rub an oatmeal-and-milk mixture to the affected areas every day. Oatmeal is a natural skin-exfoliating substance, which can lighten skin discolorations such as melasma. Mix one cup of uncooked oats and a 1/2 cup of milk and massage directly on the affected areas. Leave the oat-and-milk mixture on your skin for about 30 minutes. Rinse it off with warm water and pat dry with a clean towel.

Step 3

Apply turmeric paste to the affected areas every day. Curcumin is the active ingredient of turmeric spice, which has antioxidant and skin-lightening properties. Mix five-to-six tablespoons of turmeric powder to 10 tablespoons of milk. Add one tablespoon of gram flour to thicken the mixture so it’ll be easier to apply to the skin. Gently massage the paste into the affected areas and leave on for about 30 minutes; rinse off and pat dry.

Step 4

Massage honey-and-almond paste to the affected skin every day. The proteins contained in honey and almonds have a skin-lightening effect on the skin. Add one cup of raw unsalted almonds into a blender with a 1/2 cup of honey. Blend the mixture until it turns into a paste. Gently rub the mixture onto the affected skin and leave on for about 30 minutes; rinse off and pat dry.

Step 5

Apply lemon juice on the affected skin every day. Lemons contain citric acid, which can naturally lighten hair and skin. Wash your hands and squeeze a fresh lemon on the affected areas; gently rub and leave on for 20 minutes. You can apply lemon juice prior to applying any of the remedies mentioned above.

Step 6

Take seeds of onion and make a paste of them with water and apply this paste on effected area and wash it after it dries.

Step 7

Extract juice from fresh tulasi leaves and mix camphor powder in it.
Apply this thick juice on effected area and wash it after it dries.

Step 8

Take 2 spoons of Triphala Churnam and add it to 300 ml of water.
Let it soak overnight. Next morning boil this water till you get 100 ml of brown color water mixed with triphala churnam.
Now filter the powder below and use this warm water to clean the effected area gently and later apply above pastes.
Food to eat : 1.Take 1 spoon triphala churnam with honey every night before sleep and every morning on empty stomach.

2. Make juice of beetroot+carrrot+cucumber+honey and have 2 glasses (500 ml) before breakfast (atleast 1 hour after taking triphala churnam as said above)

Food to avoid : Tamarind, spicy and masala food, garlic, brinjal, green chillies, curd or yogurt, buffallow milk (should use only cow milk), liquour, sugarcane, eggs, fish, chicken.
Also avoid exercise in heat, birth control pills and stay away from sexual activities till it is cured.

Personality Development - Tips to Critical Thinking

Critical thinking is often characterized as a scientific, analytical way of thinking. It helps us form more knowledgeable opinions and make better decisions. That certainly seems like a beneficial skill to have, but how do you develop the ability to think critically?

Critical thinking doesn’t equal higher intelligence. In layman’s terms, it’s just a more logical way to think about solutions from all angles.

Some of us may have stronger critical thinking skills than others, but we can all learn how to improve and develop our mind.

Here are some suggestions that can help you strengthen your critical thinking skills:

1. Clarify. Make sure you have a clear understanding of the problem you’re trying to solve. You won’t be able to reasonably analyze a situation and locate a solution if you’re not completely clear on what you’re trying to accomplish!

* It’s also important that you place your own feelings about the situation aside. You cannot get a clear understanding of the issue if you have prejudiced opinions and biases about it.

2. Attempt to find a solution. Take some time with a pen and paper to define all possibilities. At this time you’ll also want to map out how you’ll be able to reach each of these solutions.

* Include the benefits and challenges of each solution. To learn how to improve and develop your critical thinking skills, you must be open to new ideas, so try and incorporate as much as you can into your list.

3. Information. Next, gather as much information as possible to support all the solutions you’re considering, as well as information you need to refute them.

* Considering your solutions from all angles will keep you from making a haphazard decision, which would not be classified in the realm of critical thinking.

4. Learn how to analyze. Now you have a problem, a list of solutions, and all the information you need to support or refute each of those decisions. So what do you do with it all?

* You’ll need time to analyze everything. Take everything into consideration and don’t assume anything. Make sure you have irrefutable evidence to back everything up. The more you practice this, the better you’ll ultimately get at it, so keep plugging away.

5. Conclude. Make an intelligent conclusion to your original problem. Make sure you have the documentation to back up and prove your decision. Always make sure this is a reasonable conclusion that is relatively simple to put into action.

* If you’ve put the time and effort into analyzing the problem and gathering the information, your conclusion should be able to support itself.
