UNFRIENDLY QUOTES.

I wish it were as easy to UNLOVE someone as it were to unfriend them.

If people could see the face I make when I read their Facebook status updates, they would probably unfriend me.

If you're really 'just done', unfriend and block him. Don't play cat-and-mouse with pseudo-mysterious statuses.

Abraham Lincoln's Letter to his Son's Head Master

Abraham Lincoln, the 16th president of the united states of America (1861 – 1865) is one of the world’s great statesmen for all time. Here is a letter written by Abraham Lincoln to the head master of his school in which his son was studying, a letter so typical of the man who bore malice towards none and had charity for all….

Respected Sir,
He will have to learn, I know, that all men are not just, all men are not true.
But teach him also that for every scoundrel there is a hero: that far every selfish politician, there is a dedicated leader…

Teach him that for every enemy there is a friend. It will take time, I know a long time, but teach, if you can, that a dollar earned is of more value then five of found.

Teach him, to learn to lose…And also to enjoy winning. Steer him away from envy, if you can, teach in the secret of quiet laughter.

Teach him, if you can the wonder of books…But also given quiet time wonder the eternal mystery of birds in the sky, bees in the sun, and flowers on the green hillside.
In a school teach him, it is far more honorable to fail than to cheat…

Teach him to have faith in his own idea, even if anyone else tell him they are wrong…
Teach him to be gentle with gentle people and tough with tough.

Teach him to listen to all men…But teach him also to filter all he hears on a screen of truth, and take only the good one that comes through.

Teach him, if you can, how to laugh when he is sad.
Teach him there is no shame in tear.

Teach them to sell his brawn and brain to the highest bidder but never to put a prize tag on his heart and soul.

Teach him gently, but do not cuddle him, because only the test of fire makes the fine steel.

Teach him always to have sublime faith in himself because then he will always have some sublime faith in mankind.

This is a big order, but see what can you do…
He is such a fine little fellow, my son! Dad”

Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams - Randy_Pausch

On September 18, 2007, computer science professor Randy Pausch stepped in front of an audience of 400 people at Carnegie Mellon University to deliver a last lecture called “Really Achieving Your Childhood Dreams.” With slides of his CT scans beaming out to the audience, Randy told his audience about the cancer that is devouring his pancreas and that will claim his life in a matter of months. On the stage that day, Randy was youthful, energetic, handsome, often cheerfully, darkly funny. He seemed invincible. But this was a brief moment, as he himself acknowledged.

Randy’s lecture has become a phenomenon, as has the book he wrote based on the same principles, celebrating the dreams we all strive to make realities. Sadly, Randy lost his battle to pancreatic cancer on July 25th, 2008, but his legacy will continue to inspire us all, for generations to come.

This is amazing, he died of pancreatic cancer in 2008, but wrote a book ‘The last lecture” before then, one of the bestsellers in 2007. What a legacy to leave behind…
In a letter to his wife Jai and his children, Dylan, Logan , and Chloe, he wrote this beautiful "guide to a better life" for his wife and children to follow. May you be blessed by his insight.

POINTS ON HOW TO IMPROVE YOUR LIFE

Personality:

1. Don't compare your life to others'. You have no idea what their journey is all about.
2. Don't have negative thoughts of things you cannot control. Instead invest your energy in the positive present moment
3. Don't overdo; keep your limits
4. Don't take yourself so seriously; no one else does
5. Don't waste your precious energy on gossip
6. Dream more while you are awake
7. Envy is a waste of time. You already have all you need..
8. Forget issues of the past. Don't remind your partner of his/ her mistakes of the past. That will ruin your present happiness.
9. Life is too short to waste time hating anyone. Don't hate others.
10. Make peace with your past so it won't spoil the present
11. No one is in charge of your happiness except you
12. Realize that life is a school and you are here to learn. Problems are simply part of the curriculum that appear and fade away like algebra class but the lessons you learn will last a lifetime.
13. Smile and laugh more
14. You don't have to win every argument. Agree to disagree.

Community:

15. Call your family often
16. Each day give something good to others
17. Forgive everyone for everything
18. Spend time with people over the age of 70 & under the age of 6
19. Try to make at least three people smile each day
20. What other people think of you is none of your business
21. Your job will not take care of you when you are sick. Your family and friends will. Stay in touch.

Life:

22. Put GOD first in anything and everything that you think, say and do.
23. GOD heals everything
24. Do the right things
25. However good or bad a situation is, it will change
26. No matter how you feel, get up, dress up and show up
27. The best is yet to come
28. Get rid of anything that isn't useful, beautiful or joyful
29. When you awake alive in the morning, thank GOD for it
30. If you know GOD, you will always be happy. So, be happy.

While you practice all of the above, share this knowledge with the people you love, people you school with, people you play with, people you work with and people you live with.
Not onl y will it enrich YOUR life, but also that of those around you

Money is a good servant to all

Money is a good servant to all

To attract abundance, see money as a flow of energy, not as a static quantity. See life as a flow also, not as a fixed pattern. Think of life as a glass, and of abundance as a flow of water. Water can fill the glass only in liquid form, not as a block of ice.
Money is a good servant but a poor master. People who work solely for money seldom go far. When your outgoings exceed your income, your upkeep is your downfall.
Your banker will lend you money if you can prove you don't need it. Fools and their money are welcome anywhere. Fools and their money are soon parted.
That money talks i will agree- it always says goodbye to me.

CRITICISM - Correct with This Tool

  • Correct others by your example, and never by nagging criticism. If you make suggestions, keep them positive. Negativity only invites more negativity.

  • When presenting an idea, clarify it with examples. The less abstract your presentation, the better it will be understood, and the more readily accepted.

  • Be more encouraging of others, and less critical. By too much criticism you’ll stifle their creativity and paralyze your own.

  • Offer suggestions to help others, and not simply as a purgative for your own negative emotions .Above all, never undermine a person’s faith in himself.

  • There will never be another today. Make the most of it.

Take joy and sorrow equal

Be equal-minded in fortune and misfortune, in happiness and sorrow, loss and gain. The ups and downs of life have lessons to teach us. In fact, without reverses in our life, we will not be able to experience Divinity. Without darkness, we cannot appreciate light. Without experiencing difficulties, we will not value the pleasures we enjoy. It is lack of peace of mind which compels us to seek the means to realize everlasting peace. The Upanishads have declared that through renunciation alone can immortality be attained. Man should learn to practice renunciation so as to discover the secret of enduring peace and bliss.

poem :
the joy of the Lord is my strength (clap, clap)
the joy of the Lord is my strength (clap, clap)
the joy of the Lord is my strength (clap, clap)
the joy of the Lord is my strength (clap, clap, clap)

Mankind today.

Mankind has progressed much in exploiting the material resources of the earth in order to promote the standard of life. But, he has not learnt the way to inner peace and contentment. Envy and greed have fouled the relations between persons and nations, suppressing the awareness of the Unity that underlies all Creation. The main cause of this calamitous situation is rank egoism; each one tries to grab for himself whatever adds to his power and comfort. The mind has desires as its warp and woof. When desires are ego-oriented, time and effort are wasted; duty is neglected; the body and its skills are misused. In order to restore peace to the individual and in society, the mind has to be purged of its attachment to the self.

Live and let live

Live -

  • Put bright color in your surroundings, and you’ll bring more brightness and color to your own life.
  • Be as considerate of the feelings of others as you would have them be of your own.
  • Be Modest, but don’t belittle yourself. The center of your being is the center of the universe as far as your own understanding is considered. At the center, awaiting your discovery, lies all the power of infinity.

  • Be Courageous in your decision making . “What if?” and “ what if not?” keep people sitting forever on a fence. Even a poor decision may be preferable to making no decision at all: At least it will keep the energy flowing, a flow which may, in time, attract good decisions.

Let others Live

  • As the gardener water the flowers, so water the hearts of others.
  • Offer hope to those who are losing hope. Help them to see that their potentials reach out to infinity.
  • Offer encouragement, whenever you find sorrow or despair. No defeat is permanent; Often, it is the precursor to stunning victory.
  • Offer happiness, whenever you see gloom. Pity is demeaning, but happiness, offered without imposing it, can be a lifeboat on a stormy sea.
  • Dharma (righteousness) is the foundation for the welfare of humanity, it is the eternal truth. When the effulgence of Dharma fails to illumine human relationships, mankind will become enveloped in the darkness of sorrow. Man must dedicate himself to Dharma so that he may live in peace and the world may also enjoy peace. He cannot acquire lasting peace nor can he win the grace of God through any means other than by leading a Dharmic life.

Faith in the self

The Whole world today is suffering from disorder and violence because people have lost Aathma-Vishvaasa (Faith in the Self). They are fostering attachment to the body and ignoring the spirit. This is incorrect. Whatever you do, deem it as God's work. This can be applied to every ordinary act in daily life, whether it is sweeping the floor, cooking or cutting vegetables. Every one of these acts can be turned into a spiritual exercise by the spirit in which you do it. Install the Divine in your hearts and carry on your duties with devotion and dedication.

No Man - No God

Without the sanction of the Lord, man cannot achieve anything in the world.
The Divine is the basis for everything. Man, however, is filled with conceit that he is the one who is doing everything. This pride is the cause of his ruin.
It is the cause of his frustration and disappointment. Man today is basing his life on reliance on Nature and is hence forgetting God.
This is a grievous mistake. You must place your faith in God, the Creator of the universe, and then enjoy what Nature provides. Faith in God is the primary requisite for man

Self Expectations of the youth.

Hold cheerful expectations of life problem consciousness can prove overwhelming .Be solution-oriented .See every problem as an opportunity!

If someone convinces you that you've committed an error. Don't be upset and don't blame yourself. Be grateful that now you can work to remove tat impediment to our happiness for the impediment was there anyway to recognize it even belatedly, is your good fortune.
